Approach
Dr. Davis is one of a small number of physicians in the country with training in both Psychiatry and General Pediatrics. This allows her to holistically understand the physical, emotional, and psychological needs of individuals throughout their development. No matter the age of the patient, she takes a developmental approach to identify each person’s capacity to grow and change based on their unique life story. With her patients and families, Dr. Davis strives to be warm and empathic, creating a space free of judgment in which patients and families can feel supported. She takes the time to deeply understand her patients and aims to provide relief and guidance.
She does not believe in a one size fits all approach. In addition to conservative and evidence-based use of medications, she incorporates psychotherapy into every session with training in psychodynamic psychotherapy, play and dyadic therapy, CBT, DBT, Exposure and Response Prevention, family and couples therapy, as well as attachment and mindfulness principles. She enjoys close collaboration with outside providers including primary and sub-specialist doctors, therapists, schools, OT, and dieticians.
